Prints of Identity: A Linocut Block Printing Workshop

This workshop invites participants to explore their cultural identities through the traditional art of linocut block printing. Using linoleum blocks, carving tools, and high-quality inks, participants will design and create custom stamps inspired by personal or familial cultural symbols, patterns, and motifs that reflect the theme “The Colors of My Culture.”

The City of Brampton held an open call for proposals seeking program leaders working in all art forms to deliver community engaged arts programming during Culture Days. This open call invited expressions of interest from artists and arts leaders with a project budget of up to $4,000. Happy Hands Pottery & Art Studio was one of the successful applicants and the Cultural Services Division at the City of Brampton is proud to support this workshop.
